🏃‍♂️ I have run Marathons when no one else was in the 80s. It was a very lonely sport. One of my mottos was from Scripture - when I considered things that were difficult or near impossible - that if it was God's will, and it brought Him glory/praise/Honor/tribute - then I could do all things in and thru Christ who strengthens me - eye on the prize to get the "well done" faithful servant 🥈. Every person should have the "experience" in life should run a few marathons. I recall not only do you talk to yourself out there, but you talk to the Lord, and the Lord in such times can also talk to you as you view great sceneries of His creation. As Pastor David points out in a way here, we cannot be impatient, immature microwave Christians, or like the person in the old Mervyn's commercials - open, open, open. Anything that is great, that is worth doing, will take time, perseverance, determination, and endurance. Anything that will last, will be of the Lord's doing, for His accomplishments in us - are great.
