What a gorgeous flying location! I never got to fly off cliffs, too far from sea! Thanks for lovely video. Roger in Spain 77

Classy design . Who would have thought the old towline model would fly so well on the slope

They used to produce many fine kits in the time of my youth. Thanks, downloaded this one.

I do remember the Kiel Kraft original, you know people who did the ff thing with no dethermalisor, these gliders would go OOS SO easily.. Beautifully done! ⭐👍

Hi John,
Loving seeing your wife showing off her filming skills by predicting where a glider will come into view again from behind the horizon. Magic stuff!

Had a Caprice many years ago! Free flight towline, wish I'd kept it!

Really like the Caprice, built three of these as a young lad but mine were all free flight. Lost two due to the DT failing. Funnily enough the last one was covered in red tissue the same colour as your version. Great to see it converted to RC and flown off a slope 👍

Great to see it flying off a cliff and what skill flying it. In my club we have just built over a dozen RC conversions with a motor for a simple 'single type' flat field competition. Flying them is definitely something very different.

Lovely build and flight. I built both this and the Conquest, same wingspan. With RC and your level of control, hand-catching makes the Caprice viable, but as a tow-line which was all I had, that tail fin was a daft idea. The Conquest was still flying months after the Caprice had given up, way too fragile, any obstacle on landing and that was flying finished for the day, which usually meant one flight - and a long walk back home holding the bits. I dare you to let it drift in and land itself.

So eine herrliche Möglichkeit zum Modellflug hätten wir auch gern. Man könnte neidisch werden.😎🤓🧐.

I built one of those when I was a kid. Under cambered wing, flew beautifully. Lost it for ever in a thermal, never to be seen again 😢

Another great soaring video. I’ve just built a Caprice after 50 years away from aeromodelling (built 2 back then, both flew away). I converted this new one to r/c (never done a conversion or used r/c before), a nightmare job with that slim fuselage and my lack of experience. Wish I’d read your comments about widening the nose first!

I am just building a KK Caprice at the moment. Its my fourth, but there has been a 55 year gap between no.s 3 & 4. It will be ffree flight initially but then converted to radio.
John, I love your videos mate. Roll on summer.
