Judge grants special master for former President Trump

In a legal victory for former President Donald Trump, a federal judge on Monday granted his request for a special master to review documents seized by the FBI from his Florida home and also temporarily halted the Justice Department’s own use of the records for investigative purposes.

The decision by U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon authorizes an outside legal expert to review the records taken during the Aug. 8 search and to weed out from the rest of the investigation any that might be protected by claims of attorney-client privilege or executive privilege. Some of those records may ultimately be returned to Trump, but the judge put off a ruling on that question.

Geez…The guy had sensitive, highly classified material that he treated with willful negligence and intentionally hindered it’s recovery. He endangered National Security. His attorneys lied for him and said he didn’t have ANY classified material. If it was you, you’d be serving your sentence by now.

The appeal should be pursued at once. Judge Cannon’s ruling undermines not only the case against Trump, it also undermines future cases against others. And this is the greater danger -- the erosion of our judicial system on which all of our rights depend. So let the appellate process run its course -- delays notwithstanding. Too much is at stake to simply let the decision stand unchallenged.

11k documents? Tax documents? wow we can’t keep copies of our taxes? Is not money printed by government also owned by government. (That’s why you can not deface it.) It looks like anyone walking in and out of White House needs to check pockets make sure no issued government drivers license in there either.
