FFXI - Legacy of the Lost (Treasures of Aht Urhgan - Mission 35) - WHM Solo

Well, first thing is first, I would like to apologize for the bit of audio de-syncing at the beginning. Apparently, the first clip of my recording de-synced the video and audio and hence why it's totally off like that. My apologies!

Second of all, if I actually had Phalanx, I probably would of done this fight WHM/RDM and tanked Gessho far better then I did in this particular instinct. ah well!

I came WHM/BLU for this fight just for the fact of using Cocoon. I felt Gessho would hit like a truck and decided it was best to come with a defensive sub to weather some of the damage coming my way. Cocoon helped a bit, but if I ate a Taco over a Mithkabob, I think I would've been golden.

Gessho himself is quite beastly even at the level 90 cap. Full timing any PDT gear while fighting Gessho comes highly recommended to mitigate damage. And even at level 90, he has a fair bit of evasion, as can be seen in the opening few swings I take against him.

When Gessho decides to summon shadows that can damage you, I recommend running and trying to avoid giving Gessho any TP. When he uses a TP attack, all the shadows will use a TP attack. This is the same with spells too. Each clone will use a similar type of spell Geshho uses when he attacks (damage spell types or enfeeble spell types). Additionally, if Gessho decides to 2hr, ALL his clones 2hr as well, hence why I opted to run instead of fighting.

After about 20-30 seconds, all the clones will despawn and you can once again engage Gessho.

To this date, this is probably the hardest fight I've had the pleasure of completing thus far. It was stressful but a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to more of the challenges I will be partaking in from this point on!

Thanks! Yeah, Gessho is quite beastly. I wish I had Phalanx at this point in time, I would've /RDM and made this fight a whole lot eaiser. ^^
