Live Industry Leaders Panel | Bringing together the brightest minds in innovation and entrepreneurship

The longstanding collaboration between MIT Sloan and QUT Business School was brought to life – and to the stage – in Brisbane, Australia recently, and featured some of the leading innovation thinkers from across the world. The MIT/QUT Live Event: Building Innovation Ecosystems, the on-stage evolution of The Future Enterprise global webinar series, aims to tackle some of the most complex challenges facing entrepreneurs and innovators today.

Speakers include The Hon. Stirling Hinchliffe MP, Minister for Tourism, Innovation and Sport and Minister Assisting the Premier on Olympics and Paralympics Sport and Engagement; Professor Margaret Sheil AO, QUT Vice-Chancellor and President; and Professor Amanda Gudmundsson, Executive Dean of QUT’s Faculty of Business and Law, each highlighting the importance of creating innovation ecosystems where ideas can be shared and collaboration can take place, whether locally or globally.

The panel discussion includes moderator, Professor Rowena Barrett, QUT’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (Entrepreneurship), and a panel of industry experts including Professor Scott Stern, David Sarnoff Professor of Management, Sloan School of Management, MIT; Sam Gerner, Managing Director, Public Sector and Strategic Industries, Cisco; Yas Grigaliunas, Founder and Chief Evangelist, Circonomy; Wayne Gerard, Operating Partner, QIC, Co-founder of RedEye and Queensland’s 2021-22 Chief Entrepreneur; and Georgie Major, (Acting) City Transformation Program Lead, Logan City Council.
