Fluidmaster rubber toilet seal VS Traditional Wax seal

Why pay a few bucks extra for a Fluidmaster toilet seal vs a wax traditional toilet seal... It last longer, can be reused, is universal, and fixes pesky leaks the wax one wouldn't!!!

I just installed a new toilet, and I will never use a wax ring again. The toilet even came with a wax ring, but I got the Fluidmaster.

After a failed wax ring on an upstairs toilet rendered us 6k in damage on one toilet I replaced it with the fluid master rubber ring. Afterwards I took up the other toilets (1 of which was also upstairs also) and found those wax rings were in bad shape also. I replaced the etc. That was about 1 year ago and I just pulled them up for peace of mind. Not one sign of any water leaking anywhere. I’m certain had I not switched over all the other toilets I would have had another expensive drawn out home improvement mess to correct. The extra couple bucks was worth the cost 1000x over!

plus if you ever have to remove it or the toilet gets loose your good when with a wax ring it compresses and is done after first use and will leak or need replacement.

Just used this kit today. Once installed, I did a few flushes and checked the basement for any leaks and
also around base of toilet. All is good. I would have messed up with a wax ring cause I had to reset the toilet
A few times.

We use these at work in commercial settings. 2+ yrs in, and no issues. I also used one when resetting an old toilet in my house years ago. Bye-bye wax seals!

I bought a Fluidmaster 7530. It cost me 9.99. I didn't care if it was 15 bucks, as long as I don't have to hassle with wax. Got a new American Standard today 7/22 that cost 237.50 with the seal and water sponge. I get an employee discount of some items when I pay cash as my local hardware store.

You need to chalk the bottom of the toilet to the floor if it is moving.

Very strange. Obviously it does, but I don't understand how this can seal out the water when flushing. I understand that a toilet flushing is not high pressure, but still, I don't get it 🤔

Just brought this product from Home Depot today. i'm A engineer for a local hotel in Georgia my coworkers was having problems since this morning with A toilet they thought it was A crack pipe because they tried numerous wax rings.They call the plumber but my supervisor told him to wait until I get there to look at it. So they canceled The plumber. Good thing to. Got here look at seeing that it was the wax ring. I'm going to Home Depot to try to buy maybe the girl version of one but then I seen this bad boy and said let me give it a try. Install it and tightened everything back down. Flushed it a couple times not one leak. If I ever have to use one in my personal home I will with no problem. So for these products work great.
