I actually really like the tombstone mod. It drops a tombstone when you die and you just have to break it to get your stuff back. It just ensures that your things will still be there when you get back.

The keep some inventory is actually a really good idea definitely trying this out!

Ngl all of them kinda feels fair.
1. The first sounds like just to not spend so much time on it and it is great.
2. Only loseing resource and not gears sounds fair because you spend a LOT of time gather these back.
3. Useing the Hoe for accual good reason by farming more blocks is really good usage for the hoe!

Maybe on 2 more people disagree but the first and last sounds accualy some good mods!

Keep Some Inventory is exactly how death works in Subnautica. You lose all of the resources you've collected, but you keep "key items."

Theres a reason why every progression based game have keep inventory on death or at least a very easy way you grab your gear back, minecraft as much as I love it just lives in such an ancient era of progression sandbox games

HT’s treechop to me is the best tree harvesting mod out there. It’s very convenient but it also adds some visual flare so it feels looks you’re chipping away at a tree instead of just insta mining

There should be a way to reverse the curse enchantments through an expensive and/or challenging process so you can get a Boon of Binding that lets you keep the item on death or the Boon of Vanishing that when applied to all 4 armor pieces you become invisible when you sneak (including the armor).

I prefer corpse. Gives you reason to go back but also keeps your items safe.

honestly a rare treasure enchantment that keeps an item in your inventory after death would be cool and more fun i think. also a curse of binding rework that made it so armour and tools stay in your inventory/equipped even after death could be a cool mechanic and make you weigh up the pros and cons could be an interesting idea, if i knew how to mod i would make it

I never understood the whole "x gamerule is cheating" discussion.

Cheating is literally just being given an unfair advantage over others.
If you're playing in your own singleplayer world play how you want, if you're running a server with friends, play how the group wants. Nothing is cheating unless its competitive and you have an advantage over everyone else.

I like keep some inv for when you die to say a bunch if mobs, instead of losing your stuff and you have no way to fight back, you can still regain your other stuff (it also stops zombies from getting your op armor and being a pain to kill)

I love keep inventory in case i die by falling or accidentally falling into lava great idea for the mode keep some inventory i like that it keeps the game more funner for me

Keep Some Inventory is perfect for players like me; who get the most upset about losing equipment that I may have spent literal days on while still making dying a risk.

It actually feels a lot like how Stardew Valley does it. Except in Stardew you can lose your weapons too for some reason?
