Keith Murphy Webinar - Seen and Unseen

As part of our Adult Dyslexia Webinar series, on March 9, 2022, we were delighted to host Dr. Keith Murphy, a researcher and lecturer, who shared his personal experience with dyslexia. Keith’s story is a remarkable journey in education from completing an ECDL course in 2008 to being awarded a PhD from Maynooth University in 2022. Keith’s webinar is titled “Seen but Unseen”.

This webinar was part one of a two-part series with Keith. The next webinar (to be held in May 2022) will explore Keith’s PhD research (Experiencing Dyslexia Through the Prism of Difference), its findings and its implications for the field of dyslexia research.

I know Keith Murphy from when he first came in the door to NLN, a true gentleman who showed extreme determination, having been his mentor for 2 years, (ECDL included) I am no way surprised as to what he has achieved, TRUE he does not STOP, he is an example to anyone with his life along his path, I was delighted to see him enter Maynooth under a True Gentleman and great mentor Dr Michael Kenny.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of getting to know Keith, knows he is such a lovely man with a heart of gold. As a long time friend, he is an inspiration to behold as he battled through all the hurdles in front of him. I'm so happy for Keith who persevered and got his doctorate.
