Have you ever made a mess washing your mountain bike? Today, we'll build a total overkill mountain bike wash station, with drainage, tool storage, and wash fluid.

Videos 2 weeks early • Exclusive articles • Discussions • You’re in control!

Since many of you will ask what soap I use, just go to the auto parts store and get non toxic car wash soap.

Suggestions: Slip a piece of inner tube over the pipe to prevent scratching. This is more important if you hang the bike by the frame than if you use the seat. (I suppose you could use the skin from the snake but I'd recommend using the inner tube.) Also, consider using composite decking when the wood decking gets too many splinters. Pressure-treated southern yellow pine is really lousy decking. Composite lumber is more expensive but worth every penny.

Unbelievable that the UCI Redbull World Cup got 40k views in a week...you built a 2x4 bike wash and got 370k!

You may have created the best job on planet earth...

Nice work Seth! I busted my ass slipping on some wet wood, and the combo of soap will make it even worse. I’d recommend some strips of grip tape on the wood so you don’t slip, especially if you’re barefoot!

I love the burm Creek videos, they're so entertaining, especially for someone who doesn't have to room to do this

Dude, I'm so loving your videos. Glad I stumbled across your channel. Just got me a new MTB after a 25 year hiatus from riding (now 46). Wish me luck haha! :)

You could put an inner tube on the holding hook so it doesn't harm the bike. Just saying.

Me as carpenter, I think this is brilliant and pretty good way of completing the task just by yourself. My only worry is that your platform may sink into the ground because of water and soft dirt

I'm so jealous of Berm Creek. You have the perfect backyard for trails!

Hate to say this but Harry main has copied your design and branded at his own idea. He hasn't even given any credit to you

Nice build Seth! One thing I would advise for future projects is the use of concrete around the posts you bury. Reason being is Termites and wood having the tendency to rot when buried. A bag of pre mixed Quick Crete is only a few extra dollars and makes a huge difference to the longevity of what you build. You might have thought of this and didn't want something so permanent, which is totally fine. You can also buy a coating for the ends of the posts you bury to keep them from decaying, too.

PS: Stain or finish on the wood might not be a bad idea either. :D

Seth, not sure if anyone has already suggested it, but it would be well worth it as well to put some stone crush under the platform to prevent mud build up and corrosion developing underneath. It will also help improve the drainage of the water.

You did one mistake: you did not varnished the wodden planks, so in the long term they will start to rot.
But pretty good idea with the "washstation" and i love the squirrel-thing😂

That set up is definitely sweet. Your carpentry work looks good and you can ask 5 carpenter's to each build a box of the same dimensions and they'll each do it a little different. Only thing I noticed that may give you trouble down the road is the posts in the ground combined with excessive water use and being a natural run off for your yard. You may end up wanting to put concrete deck footings to get those posts off the ground just to prevent premature rot and sink. But what a f#$king fantastic job 💪

Nice job! That is a super deluxe wash station.

I sunk a post in my back yard the week I bought my house, 18 years ago for this very task. Installed a heavy duty hook, and it was off to the races.

Over the years I've washed tons of bikes, golf clubs and garden tools with this wash station. One of the best ideas I've had. On the back side, opposite the bike hook, is the can smasher.
