I will never understand people who see this song as sending a negative message . The song is about literally acknowledging that you have a problem and that you are not alone to deal with it. The final verse is saying let hope in and try to make things better.

Husk is my favorite character bc I kinda understand him and sympathize with him. My wife's favorite is Angel bc she understands him a lot (minus the drugs) and loves that he literally has no filter. Maybe that's why this is my favorite song.
