There are so many badass women in history that not everyone's gonna agree at Lana's list. I love that it's sparking discussion!

Really enjoyed this video! The related videos are telling me that there a lot of your videos that didn't make it to my sub box, though. :( Going to go catch up!

I'd have to Add on The Suffragettes (they all deserve a mention), Cleopatra, Boadicea, Edith Cavell, Elizabeth Fry, Mary Seacole, Elizabeth I, Princess Diana, Joan of Arc and many more... But your list's pretty awesome :) Although I cannot agree with the Margaret Thatcher one as she has impacted so many of our people as well as my and others' families, ahh well, we can't all agree! And I do respect here for being a formidable and independant woman.

Can we talk about Maria Montessori? She was THE FIRST girl going to a medicine University and everyone made fun of her, calling her "Mario", and then won an academic prize THE FIRST FREAKING YEAR.

Lana McKissack was second in Internet Icon S1. I think she should have won.

So many women have done amazing work and it is impossible to say who has done the 'greatest' work. My issue with this video isn't who made the list but that we feel the need to rank accomplishments.

I quite like Hrotsvitha, partially because of her badass name, but mainly because she was the first woman playwright.

I agree with you, she also didn't help with the mining strikes, and many irish prisoners went on hunger strikes against her.

She never said let them eat cake, because she never knew or cared enough about her people to realize that they were starving.

There are areas of Northern England and Wales that still haven't recovered from Thatcher's austerity. Many places in the North East are ranked as the the poorest areas of Europe due to her.
