2020 Honda Accord Hybrid Loud Humming Noise While Driving

This booming or humming noise randomly occurs at highway speeds due to a faulty ANC unit. Affected years include 2018, 2019, and 2020 Accord Hybrid models which may be out of warranty soon. I have exactly the same issue in my honda accord 2021, but mine is even worst the whole door is vibrating, if u crack the window a little bit the noise will disappear, and also try shifting from D to N when the noise is there also it will disappear, i did exactly what you recommended to unplug the ANC module and it worked 😍❤️🙏🏼, u can’t imagine how much i suffered from this noise almost a year already, i took the car to almost 4-5 garages and none of them knew whats the issue, can’t thank you enough for this 🙏🏼

I’m so glad I’m not the only one with this noise. For some reason, an oil change made it almost completely go away

I have a 2020 Accord but not a Hybrid but it's doing the exact same thing! The dealership said I was crazy and they heard nothing. I even showed them everything I found on the web and YouTube.

Happening right now in my 2020 Honda accord EX or EXL it drives me crazy because the dealership says they’ve never heard of it but the window trick has saved me!!

I’m having that problem right now with my 2020 Honda Accord Sport 1.5t. That service bulletin (21-053) in the video above it’s for 2018-2020 Honda Accord Hybrids Only and the Service Bulletin for the 2018-2020 Honda Accord/2019-2020 Honda Insight non Hybrids would be (22-014).

I have a 2021 Honda Accord Lx and my aftermarket subs making a humming sound when the windows is all the way up but goes away when I let them down or when I open the doors

Thank you. I have a 2019 Accord Hybrid, that I bought in September of 2019, and it has made this noise since new. But, it does seem to be getting worse. The car only has 28, 500 miles on it. But, unfortunately, its now out of warranty. So, probably on my own.

Wow! This issue is common in Accord hybrids, from the Active Noise Canceling (ANC) going way back to the first generation accord hybrids, the 2005 model. In addition to fixes you mentioned, another fix is to open and quickly the driver door while stopping at a red light, yes I know it's stupid, another thing is to highway driving above 3, 000 rpm for a few minutes.

I had the problem with a brand new 2018 Accord Hybrid. I couldn't stand it! It was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. Honda said they were aware of the problem but didn't have a fix. I traded it in (with only 500 miles on it) on a new 2019 (and paid an additional $5000). The 2019 exhibited the same issues, but not as loud and not as often. I just found the service bulletin and took it to the dealer who informed me the car is out of warranty so they won't apply the Service Bulletin - even though I complained about it the prior 4 years - UNLESS I pay $280.00! Seems my "comments" that it was still humming wasn't documented as I never it took it in "just for that issue". (so they have no record of the complaint...) I will NEVER buy another Honda (ANYTHING!) BTW: The vehicle also claims far better mileage than I was ever able to get with it. I previously owned a Lincoln hybrid and it almost ALWAYS got the rated MPG or better. The sound was almost impossible to capture on video even with my wife trying to record it as I drove. I'm done with HONDA and getting rid of this hybrid with 20K miles.

I have had that noise from 1st week of my 2020 Honda EXL Hybrid and every time I take it to the dealership, they act like its hard to replicate etc. I will head back and mention this exact recall notice but now my car has 174.000 miles on it already but I have mentioned this noise early on thou. This noise usually happens in morning time when I take the car out from cold, between 45 - 52 mph I have to hold the speed so sound gets extremely loud

I recently had this issue with my 2020 Honda Accord sport. After one week in the shop the dealer finally diagnosed the problem to be the microphone. I’ve had a car now for about a week and I have not heard that noise again.

Confirmed fix: Just disconnect the ANC module.

It's a pain to get to.. a few panels need removed around the glove box.. as mentioned in this video, there are other videos on YouTube to walk you through this. But ultimately you just need to disconnect a wiring harness, and that's it. Free fix.

I have a 2018 Accord Touring Hybrid and have had this issue fairly frequently over the years of ownership. Disconnected the ANC module months ago and hasn't happened again since.. not once. Additionally I have not noticed any adverse issues with ANC disconnected.. not sure what the ANC module was actually helping with.

2019 1.5 sport. Mine specifically does it between 30-37 mph. Sounds like crazy loud dull roar accelerate it goes away slow down below 30 goes away.

내 2020 어코드 하이브리드 투어링에서도 이 소리가 난다.
정말 아주 가끔씩 소리가 나서 나도 어렵게 짧은 영상을 찍었는데 소리가 아주 작게 녹음이 되었다. 내일 딜러에 찾아갈 때 이 영상이 아주 도움이 될것 같아서 감사하다.
