Does McLaren actually have the fastest car this season? Lando Norris doesn't seem to think so. With McLaren looking strong so far in 2025, many have tipped Lando Norris to win the Formula 1 World Championship as Red Bull and Max Verstappen try and find consistency and overcome the challenges of the RB21. But why does Lando Norris think his car isn't as good as what we're seeing?

When lewis won the 7th championship, Lando said " Anyone can win every race and pole position in the fastest car, well now you have the fastest car you aint got the talent and mental strength to fight for a championship.

People might point out how Max was complaining about his car at the start of 2024, but that was a specific complaint about the balance, etc. that continued throughout the year. Lando is just making a general complaint about how "the car really isn't that great" and instead of making him and Oscar look like better drivers, it makes him look like a total knob.

I think Oscars biggest asset is Mark Webber, Mark had Seb as a team mate, and knows the mindset that you need to go up against a driver who could potentially decimate you! Oscars absolutely unflappable mentality I think is a product of this! Lando does not have this in his corner!

I can just imagine all of the F1 fans that hated Senna and wished for his demise, and maybe even cheered when they saw him crash crash. I hope I'm wrong about that, but it's funny how people absolutely hate a person when they're the best at what they do of literally everyone in the world, only to later admit how great they were once they're no longer competing. They will likely talk big about how they "knew he was great all along." Or just continue to irrationally hate him regardless of how much he accomplishes.
