The biggest transformation, IMO, is Jim himself! He's gone from a bent and bowed, quiet old man with burdens that crippled him emotionally and physically, to a fitter, younger minded, chatty and witty, straighter walking man with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face! Love it! Thank you Ben, Paul, Colin and everyone else on this amazing team of men responsible for changing Jim & Jean's lives for the better!

Even more than the renovation, one of the most valuable things about projects like this is the amount of time you spent bantering with Jim. As an older person, I guess one can get incredibly lonely. He reminds me incredibly of my dad, who had a stroke a few days after joining the army and spent his life continuing as if nothing ever happened. Recent years havent been kind to him though with many slips and falls, but he maintains the same kind of humour as Jim.

Few people tend to care though when they see because it reminds them of the future we all face. Amazing to see people going against this grain and not only helping the elderly materially, but with friendship too!

Over these months you guys have given Jim a new lease on life. Nothing can replace human contact and the concern and love you have given to him and his wife.
