“From the moment you set foot in the latest version of the Mazda MX-5 you will smile from ear to ear. This car has almost invented driving pleasure. It’s a small, lightweight (around 1.000 kilograms) and rear-wheel driven car that gives its occupants a lot of enjoyment and bang-for-your-buck. With its extremely well-made and predictable chassis you can discover its limits without ever really getting into trouble, such is the nature of the latest MX-5. With a choice of 2 engines and power ranging from 132 hp for the 1.5 liter engine and 184 hp for the 2.0 liter engine both are sure to bring you lots of joy on the road or when hitting the trackside.

What is intended to be quite a basic, no frills car in the beginning is no longer that. The car has lots of up-to-date safety features as well as fully adaptive LED-headlights and is on par with the best in the area of comfort with heated seats and automatic airconditioning.

The MX-5 is a very well balanced car in terms of: roadholding, cornering, braking, steering and performance. Everything feels superbly adjusted to each other which is a difficult thing to accomplish. The end result is that you want to drive further and further and drive off into the distance until you run out of petrol.
