You will Need

Lemons - in this recipe I used 2 lemons
Boiling Water to Blanch the lemons in
Iced Water to cool the slices down quickly
1 cup of Water
3/4 of a cup of Powdered Sugar

Lovely idea.
I usually make candied orange peel (my kids love those and the little lady needs these with a 70% chocolate cover (half covered, actually). I'll give it a shot., that sounds brilliant.
Another wonderful way is to dry slices of orange - not lemon! - and the drying does virtually the same thing - condensing the sugars in the slices and they turn out wonderful . You can dry the slices in the oven but a solar dehydrator is a wonderful tool, and it's electricity bill stands on zero year round... :)
I'll also try your idea of boiling the lemons to reduce the citric acid in them before dehydrating them.

I made them, everyone in the family, except for my youngest son loved them. Next time I will cook a little longer, I took them out too soon, but we still ate them anyhow. Thank you for sharing this...I may try the same with cherries or dipping cherries like I dip apples into it.
