Did not expect that Maja would go straight to the final

Due to the reduced number of songs in the finalkval round, this is the first Melodifestivalen deltävling since 2013 where both the opener and the closer failed to qualify for at least a second chance.

Meira Omar was the best from this semi.

Its funny to me how the song by Adrian probably got last place because he is a nobody when it was probably the best song together with Lundviks one and sounded similar to Leksell so whats the point of my country ever trying Leksell

There were some camerawork issues in the beginning of Meiras performance, but they still managed to get everything back in order and the rest of the performance was flawless!

Disappointed Albin and Pa didn’t qualify or at least the final qual, glad Meira made the final qual round

This was a meh heat. No winner in sight yet. Lundvik was a predictable finalist but his song wouldn’t carry us far in ESC I feel. Nor will Maja, but they had to select at least one more out of the mids to make it to the final. Future heats however looks more promising.

Melfest is always the best at elevating songs through the live performance and staging, but to be honest, none of these strike as great songs... We'll see what the other heats have in store tho
