Diamond is like the Netflix show called "sandman ". Everyone says its really good and fun to watch but when you watch it you dont really understand whats happening and you feel confused all the time

I feel like the minute you get out of Gold, the majority of players begin to have an ego, I can only imagine how much it inflates once they're past Platinum lmao

Also, with challenger, people's movements and thoughts have a purpose and can be exploited. Diamond, bro will run at you like jungle is there to back him up with 100 hp when he really just thinks he can win.

The biggest issue I’ve observed (from mostly watching streamers and YouTubers tbh) is that most Diamond players believe they deserve challenger. And it’s these players that make Diamond unbearably hard to climb through, bc everyone thinks they’re the main character, right? So if anything goes wrong, it’s NEVER their fault, it’s ALWAYS a teammate’s fault bc “they’re all trash Diamond players but *i* am actually supposed to be in challenger, and if it weren’t for these Diamond noobs I would be the rank I deserve. They’re all holding me back.” And… well, frankly, that’s exactly the attitude that’s keeping them in Diamond.

But hey I could be wrong, I stopped playing ranked years ago bc I just didn’t see much of a point in it. Video games are supposed to be fun, and ranked stopped being that for me.

I agree. Diamond is a weird mix of boosted kids, hard stucks, and Challenger/GM players on their smurfs and nobody listens to each other. Past diamond, people start really taking things like macro and objectives more seriously so good decisions result in snowballed games more consistently. It's also less common to see both boosted kids or smurfs so the matches feel more balanced.

I experienced this my self
Games were easier when i got team full of master/grandmasters than diamonds
S12 will be my highpoint at Master rank and last time i play ranked
Now that playing with my friends and i see so much miss plays and low mentality
Silver and Gold is hard because people just don't use head and autopilot all time just wishing to get plat plus

Silver feels the same. I mean where do people get the ego for in silver? Though i dont have the time and patience for 200 games to climb out of that hellhole

I get what you're saying. But isn't it kind of the same for all elos. I mean obviously a challenger would have no issues getting out of gold because the skill gap is so massive. But if a I have a low plat skill level, how am I supposed to carry a silver game where people have no idea how to do some of the most basic things in the game (junglers don't help pushing after ganks, laners expect junglers to kill dragon and herald without lane prio, supports don't help get lv 3, adcs don't even know how the support item works...) while my skill is not so far above them that I can consistently 1v9.

And I think gold is horrible. Like silver is a cakewalk, 14 games or so and I’m already through it. Gold…. 100 to 200 games, And I’m still stuck… you would think getting to plat in 70 games would give you a good mmr… well, it doesn’t… it screws it up so much I get silver players on my team that doesn’t even know what to build at any given moment in the game. Doesn’t know what to do ever. I can get 1 in 10 teams that actually listens to me and commits for 1 play mid game, and the game is just instantly won. Then I can have 9 teams who wanna run it down asap so they can go next and do the same thing. I can solo kill 3 people, and my team will lose the 4vs2 :P gold Elo is the biggest joke ever

Maybe Riot Games shouldn't design a game made for ego boosting and teamate hating. They know what they do, and they'll do nothing to change it unless it brings money.
