The name Truckee River Murder House comes from some YouTubers. And the name got a lot of attention and YouTube views. However no record of those murders there are to be found. I was able to find a couple articles of a family of 5 (Murder/Suicide) story that happened in 1991 up near Wadsworth along a dirt road. In this story the family came from back East. Down on their luck and heading to a job in Oregon. He did report to that job and was maybe there a week or so according to the story. However, the family and all their worldly possessions were found along a dirt road near Wadsworth by the Truckee Canal (not river). The man and women behind their 1978 Ford Pickup truck. The 3 kids found in the cab. All with gunshot wounds to the head. The 2 cats were left alive. I have screenshots of the article.

The story about this place is actually true there is a channel that says is not true but when the channel the haunted side was there Patrick the investigator did with psychic mediums and they were telling him the back part of the house was two levels so that area you're a walking and not the basement part but the area you are walking on it was part of the main level and there was a second floor above that so the entrance we walked in there was like the main kitchen area or so and the rest was second-level and bedroom or something like that but yeah a lot of people investigated it and lot of Skeptics looked at it and didn't believe a thing that's why there's a lot of sceptic because history of place doesn't matter unless I can find out more facts about it go to Skeptics have never found any facts about it and they never looked for the right information in the right places never found photos of it the truth of the story is that was a murder house with somebody coming in Murder the family

No murder took place here. The family of 5 was 25 miles west of this location. A father killed his wife and 3 kid's then killed himself.

There was a couple different stories going around on this, but either way, it was a sad ending.
