English Pronunciation | The Letter 'F' | 2 ways to pronounce F in English + Tongue Twisters!

In this English Pronunciation lesson, we are going to learn how to pronounce the letter F in English. We will practice the letter F when it is combined with the letters R and L in words like FRiend and FLeet. Finally, we will practice our pronunciation of long words and difficult words and sentences and have fun with some amazing TONGUE TWISTERS with the letter F.

There are 2 ways to pronounce the Letter F in English. In 99.999% of words the letter F is pronounced /f/ BUT in ONE WORD in English the letter F is pronounced /v/. That word is the word "of" and we will practice that word in this lesson a lot! (because it is a common mistake that learners of English make).

The Letter F in English is a CONSONANT letter and is pronounced in the alphabet as /ɛf/. It follows the letters A,B,C,D and E in the alphabet. If you want to learn how to pronounce those letters check out the other videos in my YouTube pronunciation course videos below!

I recommend watching this video more than once and trying to repeat every F word after me until you feel super happy with your pronunciation!

James is amazing. No excuse for bad accent. YouTube has many jewels and James is one of them. I think if I go through his playlist of English pronunciation then I will be speaking clear with normal sound. I may not be as good as British but my accent won’t be abnormal.

I have been looking for teachers to correct me however they will correct then I will forget so the best approach to find a teacher like James for private lessons for those people who are serious about changing their account. When a teacher correct you based on rules then it is less likely to forget.
