The U.S. Department of State's public charge policy, which was recently aligned with the DHS rule, is temporarily delayed from going into force on its scheduled effective date, Oct. 15. This means that people applying for green cards and visas from outside the United States — through a process called "Consular Processing" — are not currently affected by the policy changes.

If you file i-485 now, does this public charge rule still have full impact on you compared to, say, the impact it would've had during Trump administration a several months ago?

Hello, please I just fiund out that the Trump administration's public charge rule has been abolished. I want to know, does this also do away with Trump's proposed requirement that anyone applying for immigration visa must have completed high school ? I greatly appreciate your answer, thank you.
