Sinj, the Pride of Inland Dalmatia

Come down the motorway and take a right turn at Dugopolje for the Dalmatian capital of Split. Or take a left instead, to the road less travelled and the secret and magic of inland Dalmatia.

And where better to start than magnificent Sinj, a destination with a LOT more than meets the eye.

My mum is from Otok near Sinj, my Aunty and family live in Sinj. Spent many many wonderful days in Sinj as a child and every time we have returned to Croatia I have loved going back to this beautiful little town and I. Time brought my own children here❤️

Sinj area is amazing place to enjoy pure nature, fantastic food and finest wine.
I’m every year two times there to enjoying enduro raiding on my motorbike.
Great place to have a Lott of fun.
I can warmly recommend Quad experience Cetina, where you can rent a ATV guided tour.
Fran is a young History teacher with big passion for ATVs and Nature around SINJ.

Sinj is the only inland town that has same adriatic architecture and flair like places that are on the coast

Paul Alkar can be anyone from Cetinska krajina(Cetina area) not necessarily from SInj. I am watching alka since I was a boy...so for more then 30y now.
90 000 turks were besieging the town and as legend says Mary appeared and muslims took a hike.
for 299th Alka ambassador of Turkiye was guest of honor....idk how they managed to persuade him to watch celebration over turks...but he came.
309th will be held this year. Alka had competition outside SInj only twice....In Vukovar and Belgrade.
Painting of Mary came from Rama from Bosnia and pilgrimage is from Split to Rama....on foot.
I love Sinj, been there several times, bought a car there few years back....considering food in SInj, you can not be hungry there(that goes for the entire country I guess) but when Alka is on, do you know how many lamb are being eaten that day? lol
