WTEN 5pm Newscast (November 22, 1999; A Block)

The first block of news on WTEN (channel 10), the ABC affiliate in Albany, NY. The 5pm news would begin with a "Top 10" rundown of stories of the day, some of which would be reported on during the news block and some which would later be covered at 5:30 and 6.
John McLoughlin and Tracy Egan are the anchors, and Jennifer Leuck has a report. Steve Caporizzo is featured in the talent bump but was not taped here. Among the news stories are a new state law on stalking being signed, Microsoft is sued ahead of Y2K, and a construction accident.
One of the guys mentioned during the latter story (story number 8 on the rundown) is my neighbor!!! He lived just a street up from my house and was also the custodian at the local elementary school. Obviously he was fine following the accident because I knew him long after this happened, I wasn't even born yet... :O
Primetime News by Non-Stop Music is the news theme, and an unidentified voiceover does the opens. I wish NewsMusicNow had more clean cuts of Primetime News to listen to, the ones WTEN used pre-2000 sounded great!
