Almost two years of constant use of Dorico and I still come back and find these videos absolutely useful for whatever I happen to be stuck with. Thanks always John!

Another great tutorial explained with great clarity and sympathy. I'm a very happy user of Dorico for a few years now, version 5 is superlative. Thank you :)

Thanks so much for this video! While I thought I understood page templates pretty well, this opened up a whole new chapter in using templates more effectively (without manual overrides). Kudos to you and the whole team!

This is so much better than it used to be -- but working with frames is still Intensely annoying if you're expecting standard controls to work. You can't select multiple frames and then apply changes to them all; you can't copy and paste a frame or duplicate a text frame; you can't format text within a text frame independently of other text in that frame. I hope these standard text and string manipulation actions are on the roadmap!

Thank you so much for the video! Would it be possible for you to share a link with a Dorico file example of a project with a title page?

Curiously, when I create this title page it doeasn`t show the text... so the template and layout is kinda created, but the text is just not visible...
Hopefully I am going find an answer at Steinberg Forum

one small thing I am missing is for longer titles. It has happened to me a few times, that I had a longer title and needed to split it into 2 lines at a specific place (requested by the editor). I would wish there was a way to define in the project info where there should be a line break in a title or subtitle. until now I always had to work around using extra tokens...no super big deal but I still hope this can get optimised...

In a project we are working on, is it possible to use a clipboard folder as is done in Sibelius? Or do you have to collect them in a flow and retrieve them from time to time? If so, is there already a tutorial?

I use Dorico Element 5. The right zone definitely does not open in engrave mode. I couldn't find how to open it either. Is it related to the settings? I do ctrl+9 but it doesn't work. So I couldn't create a title page!....

Great video!! I have one question: If I have multiple WW or Brass of the same instrument, the "instrumentation lists" tocken put it every flute and every trumpet separately (Flute 1, Flute 2, Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, etc.); so, is there a way to "condense" them (2 Flutes, 2 Trumpets, etc.) in the instrumentation list tocken?

Hello, how can I make a ligature by prolonging a quarter note to an already written eighth note, without getting the quarter note with a dot? Thank you so much

I followed this tutorial on my own template but no index page appears, I had changed flow headings to never? Ive tried a few settings but can't seem to get the index page to show.

It´s common practice to start the music on page 1, and that has to be an odd Arabic number after the front matter pages (usually Roman numerals pages).

When I to write-click on my "musical excerpt" int he "front matter", the "page size" options are grayed out, and custom is not visible at all. And this is true in everything I open in Dorico Pro 5.1.32.2114 . The right-click functionality for staff size is grayed out in every project I open. Also, when you use this feature, what other layouts doe sit affect? Would it affect the part layouts in the orchestral score? Because the manual says it affects layouts project-wide.

I learned that it takes 58 minutes to teach someone how to create a Title Page in Dorico 5.

I've allowed adverts on YouTube (adblock and ghostery) but the content fails to load. What's going on?
