The state's deputy chief health officer, Dr Brett Sutton, says hotspots for the skin infection caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium ulcerans include the Bellarine and Mornington peninsulas. Mosquitos and possums may be behind the spread of the disease, prompting Sutton to advise people to avoid mosquito bites, to wear long-sleeved clothes and keep an eye on cuts and scratches

Happen to me in New Jersey, bite my a mosquite. He described it perfect. By the time I knew it I has a huge blister on the back of my leg. When it popped I could stick I/3 of my finger in it. I almost lost my leg

Bubonic?? This is how these horrific people slaughtering conditions start and they then mutate and adapt ...this is extremely worrying, giving antibiotics to livestock has been a major factor in the rise of untreatable infections 😔

They should take a look at the cow milk - wouldnt be surprised if there are some big milk producing farms in Bellarine and Mornington.
