its amazing how much more information one can get by listening to somebody speak about a topic instead of "just" reading an article or a paper of that topic. Its always so much more said, also more nuanced and just human, e.g. her motivations, backgrounds etc that would never be there in a paper that seems extremely valuable to me. NIce to hear!!

You know what? After so many rejections, I was almost ready to give up on pursuing a PhD in astrobiology, but I'll keep applying, thanks for the inspiration!

I remember looking through a telescope in my backyard and seeing the moons of Jupiter the first time. It was a huge rush. I knew there were a lot more than I couldn't see, but just seeing the three or four of them that I could see was amazing.

That's all the evidence I need to be 100% certain we are not alone in the universe. We maybe the only "Humans", but other types of life exsist out there, if were finding the main 3 key components to life on one of Saturn's moons, just right out side our front door, considering how much of the universe is completely unexplored, these elements are obviously not as rare as we thought. Wether its dinosaur's on a distant planet, or advanced civilizations, life is life, and its out there! 😯

There have been periods when the only liquid water on Earth was under the frozen surface.

I live in Alberta, Canada, and we have massive forest fires right now. I have a question, because of all the smoke, the sun is a red color. I took my binoculars out may 20 and looked at the red sun and I saw a huge rectangular black object on the left side of the sun and above to the right saw a line of black Grey circles in a row. I am in central Alberta, and it was maybe 7 pm, looking west?
Does anyone have an explanation for this. I observed it two days in a row.

I love the way she says "Enceladus"

What a great back story ... she first saw Saturn as a child through a telescope her father made and was inspired to pursue an career in science ... then as an adult, she 'travelled' virtually for six and a half years to that planet and discovered the ingredients of life on Enceladus! You couldn't make it up! R (Australia)

What if any sign of life was found in Enceladus, it would prove that life is not unusual but quite common in the universe. Such discovery might change our concept of the universe dramatically.

Could the heat source be radioactive decay? That could explain the 3xtra heat at the South Pole.

Takes courage to deroute well established mission schedules and all that entails. Thank You for your well informed decision. 🪐🌊🕊

A rover should be sent to Enceladus with drills.

Enceladus. hardly say it throughout.500k or 310miles is hardly a spit in a greater lack of ability to"hold" the mechanics of cycling life. captured comet, in friction heat. the term ice is bandied
about, often, yet affirming "h2o"would be a baby step towards a mission to research further. Q
