Bought a kit, as a second instrument, about five years ago. The word got out and I actually got a call to fill-in for two sets in place of a band's regular drummer. Anxious to be viewed as solid, and replaying in my head all of the YouTube tips, I pulled Pat and Debbie from the toolbox. know that in my 'big moment' Stephen, you were there with and fyi- the band leader was pleased overall.
