MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max impressions

We’re all so excited about these new MacBook Pros because it feels like Apple finally listened and made the laptops we’ve all been asking for. We’ve had three of them for a little less than a week, so we’re just doing a quick preview today — we want to really take our time on this review and make sure we get it right. What I really want to know: what's the performance delta between the M1 pro and the max for 'normal' tasks. I'm a developer so coding, running servers, docker, 100 tabs is chrome.. I pre-ordered the pro with 32 GB ram because I assume the max only adds value if you do more graphical work . And if there is a benefit to the max, how much downside is there in terms of battery usage ?

It may sound silly but I use Unreal Engine (overwhelmingly on Windows little bit on macOS for a variety of reason) BUT I am curious to see how Unreal Engine 5 performs on the M1 Max. So if The Verge can humor me and try UE5 and the sample project Valley Of The Ancients see how smoothly it runs. Testing mainly their Lumen system and Shader Compile time would be a good indicators. Wouldn’t be a legit test because there is no methodology outline here but still.
EDIT: DISCLAIMER since UE5 isn’t in full release yet it may not be fair to Epic to test since it isn’t optimized yet.

How well does it hold up with 3D programs like Blender, ZBrush, Rhino3D, and Unity? Their presentation made it seem like you could get endless polygons in your scenes.

I’d love to know about battery life under full load, how fast it is with Lightroom and Capture One, and fan noise !!
And one last request : is it possible to calibrate the monitor with actual calibrators ? (Xrite, SpiderOne…)
