Spellbook of Life was meant to augment their XYZ Summoning capabilities, both of their in Archetype XYZ Monsters are both level 5 (Empress of Prophecy) and Level 7 (Hierophant of Prophecy). It's why a majority of their archetype is Level 3, to make it easier to make those plays to go into those odd number XYZ monsters.
ie. banish Spellbook magician of Prophecy and Amores/Temeprance/Justice of Prophecy to make a level 5 monster while already having a level 5 spellcaster like D.D.M or The Tricky or Emperor of Prophecy on board and overlay them into Empress of Prophecy.
You have more options because it seems they had bigger plans for Hierophant of Prophecy, Spellbook of Life comes into play by banishing a level 3 and reviving a level 4 like Strength or Charioteer or Prophecy and overlaying with High Priestess OR Hermit of Prophecy who was level manipulated into a Level 7 monster. OR you can banish Spellbook magician or Emperor/Tricky/D.D.M and vice versa to make a level 7 spellcaster to go into your Rank 7 XYZ Monster.


Are these plays the best? Sure, Empress has one of the best effects among the Prophecy Archetype, and Hierophant was given a potential Harpie's Feather Duster effect which is reserved for the best of the best monsters. They're not bad monsters, just a little bit costly for a deck that doesn't have enough special summons to reliably summon out these two all the time. Plus Emperor should have been level 6 AND EMPRESS A RANK 6!! Spellbook of Life was made to help make summoning these two a lot easier, the only issue is that it still overextends your board to go into these XYZ mosnters sadly.

Power and life are best at 1, tower is best at 2. I prefer 2 eternity and the amount of monsters you play are completely unnecessary. Cut world, temperance, justice and DMOC entirely and play 3 jowgen
