7 layer marine grade plywood with voids or not is best. Built a transom for our boat and glued 2 pcs of 3/4" together. The scrap is still outside in back of the barn. It spent its first year in a barrel of water and the last 2 years outside uncovered in all kind of weather. It is still straight and strong. Super impressive stuff.

I bought 12 sheets of 4x8 in sizes of 4mm / 6mm /12mm we had 2 sheets with cracks on surface. I suspect these were sitting long time in warehouse. But it is light, i was so stunned when picked them up. Okoume. Total was 980 euros for those. Happy with them. All of the sheets were also loyds certified.

Hello, could or would you use 18mm sapele ply for the bottom of a Nutshell pram, and would it throw the boat out of wack with the bottom not being 9mm ply?

Yes I got into the same thing from the blue box store.
I got a sheet of "said" 3/4 Marine at the tune of $189.00 in early 2022 and it had all kinds of voids between layers and cutouts on BOTH sides. not even 1 good finished side.
Complete garbage...
I have spent 20 hrs and 5 days so far filling voids and coating both sides with epoxy (several coats), , .. just getting it to an acceptable state in my book of high standards. to be able to do something with LATER... luckily I don't need it right now.
And to me both finish sides on top of the cut-outs, appears to be pine, not a rot resistant tropical wood that true marine is "supposed" to be made from.
I can spend this much time on BCX or CDX (exterior) with exterior glue, and have a better product for about a 1/4 of the cost. of this garbage.
luckily I only SPRUNG for 1 sheet to see what I was going to get first.
I had a true lumber yard quote me earlier, months back on true marine and it was a weird larger size. not 4x8. (they were a +1hr drive away)
I May be seeing that beside what you're talking about, . or you may have scarfed and made some custom larger panels
I'm in nc also .
anyway.
Thanks for the vid. and good luck too.
