i have a question why can't astronomers or idk who builds stuff for space engineers why cant they just build solar panels (ik there is something called imagination vs reality) but why cant they build idk like 1000 or solar panels and just shoot them in a safe spot near the sun since they were able to even TOUCH the sun with the parker probe

Silly question here, I thought that the light from the Suns we can see through even the strongest telescopes is already millions or even billions of years old by the time we see it therefore isn't it very likely that the sun has already ceased to exist? Or at least any intelligent life there has already run its natural course and ceased to exist itself?

Is it even practical to "build" megastructures around a star, by "advanced" civilizations, that is perhaps millions of miles in diameter? The resources would be enormous! Okay, in principle it seems fascinating and logical, but I am sure that building something around a star, big enough to produce an IR signature to be detected thousands of light-years away, is not practical, in my humble view. Something's fishy with this kind of stuff! If true I would wish to hide from a class 3 civilization at all costs! Just remember what happened to South American Indians when the Europeans "discovered" them...
