Well my bmw was having same error but was a relay under the glove box area i took it to the dealer and charge $700 dollar for labor and finding the problem for a $30 dollar relay

So did you charge at one of those new > the 50 KWH chargers and it sent too much power and blew the cable?

i got error code p0d40 "Battery Charger Input Voltage Sensor Circuit High"

will this fix? I started getting drivetrain errors a month ago after getting undercarriage wash. Also it always appeared during times with snow and salt on the road so I think the cable is corroded, insulation breeched.

I don't see why U need to take of both 12v battery cables. If you disco the ground and wrap the ground the batt is offline.

Did you have any problems with rex not working with faulty hv cable you replaced.I have drive train error on dash but no engine light.car runs ok on hv battery.but red will not run .changed fuel pump relay.and 12v battery is testing ok..any one have any ideas
