For that money I would just buy one of those mongolian baby goats and have them shipped over, so cute 😇😇

Farmer here — vicuña is not only difficult because they rarely get sheared, but because they are a PAIN to farm. They break everything and escape much more than sheep and cows.😅

Bought one Loro Piana sweater at a thrift shop. Very happy with that

There coats are exquisite. They also use silk and mohair.

Their coats and cashmere sweaters are some of the finest investments you can make to enhance your wardrobe. Quiet refined elegance at its best!

If I had the money, yes. Timeless is timeless instead of the gaudy aweful trashy trends.

I used to scoff at such things when I was younger, but after being more knowledgeable about fast fashion, exploitation, wanting less clothes but higher quality, etc… I no longer really judge clothing prices as much as I used to. Maybe I wouldn’t spend THAT much, but I will certainly be very picky and would rather save up for a fine item that will last me a lifetime over something that’s cheaply made and with underpaid labor.

Although I typically buy from indie brands and small shops, and only buy luxury when I truly enjoy an item and think the cost is worth is.

Considering how almost all clothes now are made from synthetic fibers, if I had the money, I’d definitely love to purchase one of their unique products. The lotus flower silk really catches my interest.

So I’m confused. How is Loro Piana from China?

Please make a video on the designer Halston. He used suppliers in Italy and Scotland in the 1970s and 80s with Merino wool and cashmere to create his pieces. He was one of the biggest fashion designers back in the day. I work with one of his former models and it would be a great video as his story is truly amazing.

Wow I had no idea. My mom gave me a couple of the sweaters by this brand, I had never heard of it before.

Finally - an actual luxury brand. I guess you’ve started doing some research beyond handbags. 😉

I think one company is being supplied by Loro Piana with their fabrics. I forgot what it was but i read it on their site. It was probably Eric Bompard or Luca Faloni. Correct me if I'm wrong. Brunello Cucinelli is like the younger version of Loro Piana. I love the business philosophy of Cucinelli though.

If I could afford it at retail, I probably would, but resell is working for me and has turned into a fun sport.

Yes, because it’s quality craftsmanship- textile art really. It’s called investment clothing and those plain pieces are classics. If properly cared for, they will last longer than most ppl.

Well tbh you can get the same cashmere for pretty cheap in india and nepal
And idk about the standards but i know some vendors who don't mx up cashmere with any other fabric
