Right wing media switched to radio and by extension podcasts (which are essentially a modern version of radio) back in the 80s. They are very well established where liberals dominated on network tv (with the exception of Fox). Now that network tv is dying the conservative media gets more views because of their well established base. It’s not a thing that started in 2016, but a gradual change in how people get information

the point of the podcasters being swayable and not exactly right wing is so on point. Joe Rogan gets lumped in with the right for having Milo Yiannopoulos, Elon Musk and Alex Jones on his podcast, making certain jokes and endorsing trump but he's traditionally identified as a liberal, has had 2020 Tusi Gabbard, Andrew Yang and Bernie Sanders on his podcast. Hell he endorsed Bernie in 2020. Same thing with Theo Von who you briefly mentioned. He's praised Bernie and had him on the podcast before. The spaces already exist and they provide a bridging point potentially for liberals and leftists to those that don't swing Democrat.

Yeah when you say Trump "invested in" he went to their studio and sat down and spoke to them. Instead of doing that Kamala had to remake a studio for a hundred grand so even the podcast she did go on was fake.

The idea she could have gone on Rogan and been a real person, forget it. Put that out of your mind. We all saw who she was when Tulsi sunk her battleship first time she ran. The only Democrat who can speak to people like a normal person is Rho Khanna.

The Right wing ecosphere developed because a lot of these people were unwelcome in comedy spaces and on conventional television and these were authentic people with talent and that American dream of making it. I am glad you recognize that in your summary.

Dave Packman put out a video post election where he said he has had an open invitation to a lot of Democrats, AOC being the obvious choice. None of them responded. We all think when they railroaded Bernie, and Wikileaks exposed it beyond doubt the Democrats became the party of fake people, and now everyone can see it. There is a lot of very good voices on the actual left "ecospehere" who have been saying this since 2016
