Sony Vegas Pro - Advance Time Freeze + Cloning

A surprising effect of paralysis naturally created for After Effects now for Sony Vegas!, the key is in the handling of the masks. Enjoy!

Although it appears that the video is a direct copy of one using After Effects, this CAN be done in Vegas Pro using the advanced masking tool. In fact, with a little more work you can even do it in Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 (a program that costs about $500 less than Vegas Pro). You'll have to make a mask (probably that frozen frame with a custom alpha channel blocking the one box that would otherwise overlap his face). Using a program like the free GIMP paint program you can create an image - of that frozen frame - and draw in the alpha channel the outline of the box or whatever else you want to be in the foreground. It's a little more effort, but the results are quite good.

Or you can use a masking program like 'ReMask' or 'Fluid Mask 3' to create a non-rectangular mask. I believe at least one of those programs works with Sony Vegas/Movie Studio Platinum.

but why not tell us how did you create the effect? if you edit video only for vanity, we do not care. want to hear that you're good? Use Camtasia and do a tutorial, a huge fan.

Simple. Crop photo onto the second clip then add the first clip again and remove the photo.. It is Sony vegas
