Utah's children—our children—need great teachers to help them grow up to be successful in life. But 42% of Utah teachers quit within their first five years. And every year, fewer and fewer college students choose to major in teaching. The numbers just don't add up. We need to find a way to attract more students into teaching, and give teachers the support they need so more of them will stick around.
