The Catalyst CX family comprises three powerful dual-channel combo amplifiers that perform like traditional guitar amps, while providing the increased versatility of modern amps. Catalyst CX amplifiers are sturdily constructed and offer 12 Amp Voicings—ranging from pristine clean to modern high-gain—derived from the Helix amp and effects processor. Each Amp Voicing is matched with a custom Boost type, and there are also 24 HX-quality effects spanning four effects categories. Additional features include a Tap/Tuner button, an XLR line output, an effects loop, a Power Amp input for using Catalyst CX as a powered speaker, MIDI functionality, a 2-channel USB recording interface, and power output options. The free Catalyst Edit app for desktop and mobile devices provides deep editing capabilities. Add an optional LFS2 footswitch for even more flexibility, and an optional cover to protect your combo.

Just bought a CX100- there are some BEAUTIFUL sweet spots! Boutique gave me the total Trower tones- Crunch can go from Keith Scott pop tones to VH in seconds!

Other than the new cosmetics and new labeling on the control panel, this amp is identical to the original Catalyst. They screwed down the trim piece around the control panel because most pop off. Superglue is your friend. If you have the old one, just update the software and you're the same as the new amp. Also before, you had a dedicated reverb plus 1 effect, now you have 2 effects, one of which can be reverb or anything else. The firmware update means you get this now on the older model too.

Dealbreaker because you STILL don’t have a proper foot controller for live settings! 😵‍💫 I’m selling my original Catalyst 200 because of it… an A/B footswitch is useless when you need to access at least 3-4 patches for live gigs!

Guys cool product, but it's time line 6 gives us a quality portable desktop amp, i'm sick of conecting my HX stop to the studio monitors. We need something that can be quiet, portable and to sound better than the Boss stuff or the THR.

Just bought this amp and I’m so confused and to top things off the software app will NOT work with my iPhone 14 Pro. What gives? I feel like I’m sinking in the need to unravel the mystery of all of these functions lol . *sigh

Great features and sound but OMG the extra button holds and presses to get extra functions is almost hilarious. Spend $1 and put an LCD screen on this and it’s far better. Then you don’t need the app to make it work for you.
