Protesters outside, lawmakers inside Oregon State Capitol

Protesters disrupted a special session of the Oregon Legislature Monday, breaking a glass door on the side of the State Capitol that was quickly declared an unlawful assembly.

These are US Citizens exercising their right to protest. They pay taxes, pay for their legislators and pay for the state capital. They have a right to enter.

So many things that need to be said about this, that no one is actually talking about. For starters, these protesters are upset because for months the government has been making harsh lock downs, killing businesses, and ruining people's lives . The straw that pushed them was this ridiculous bill that came out. I can understand why they are upset. I'm so thankful I left oregon when I did. Secondly, from all the sources I've seen, no one became violent until the police showed up. Thirdly, there was a group of police holding the door closed so the enforces couldn't come back in. That in its self is scary. Cops are turning on each other now. If government keeps doing this crap we are going to see more of this happen. I agree with the comments, this looked and behaved more like a militia too me. Our history tells us that when government stops working for the people, the country dismantled. You'd think we would learn by now. I seriously hope things change but I have my doubts. I think we are only see the beginning.
