What worries me about the critique that it was corrupted is that some books / have / been removed: Enoch by all except Ethiopians; the apocrypha by Protestants, Didache and Hermas when the Catholics were the only churches and all since then inherited it. Then some churches add new books, such as the Book of Mormon, but some smaller churches do it too.

In that context basically every Christian also believes that what others think canonical is not so.

Unknown to me, somewhere back in 1999, whilst at the Nurses Taining College at Tamale, I was being watched by a certain Muslim young man each Sunday evening on my way to and from the old hospital near the police park where Scripture union members meet for weekly meetings 🤔, One day he crossed me and told he has been following for a long time just to know where I've going to and marvelled at my faithfulness because he knew some people particularly students who pretend going to one christian fellowship or the other but always ended up in their boyfriends houses.
He then went further to tell me that christianity is a lie and gave a copy of the Quran to check for myself where some scriptures from the bible contradicting each other were recorded. Remembering one of the SU leaders say before evangelisising a muslim, first study the Quran so I accepted it and discarded it years later not bordering to do the checking without knowing that there are verses like those being mentioned now 🤔.
Most only recite but do not understand what they are reading and reciting.

The Koran isn't against the Old or New Testament. Its against Jesus being God and the Trinity because whether Jesus is God or not is unclear in the Bible and led to sin, evil and fighting between Christian sects, so God had the Angel Gabriel clarify the issue in the Koran. The Koran also clarifies people shouldn't pray to Mary.
