Synth Hunters - Parry Mechanics Demo.

Here's what I imagine the parry mechanics would look for melee players in Synth Hunters.
Pressing shift at the right time (when the visual queue shows up on the enemies' attack) will totally negate the damage.
If you instead simply hold shift you will only block a % of the total damage.

Missing the timing of your parry will translate to not blocking any damage.

What do you think?

Unless the sphere is meant to be some sort of a shield, I think some sparkles would fit better for blocking attacks
