Hellenic Black Metal History

Important note

The names of each age are identical only and have nothing to do with the value of each era.
Bands that announce (through FB, Metal Archives…etc) political ideas of every kind are not included
Bands that rumored or one or more members have specific political ideas and don’t promote them through their music we don’t care… let them bands to deal with them.
Of course there are a lot of diamonds (Order Of The Ebon Hand…etc) that should be in our videos but our team put specific rules/criteria after discussions and arguments for the videos for each ages so don’t comment that we forgot this band or the other, we explain below. We wanted to be fair for all bands and especially the most active ones.
In future there will be more videos for bands that were not meeting all the below criteria


GOLDEN AGE Criteria
Time Period from late 80s to 1999
Bands must have 4 Full-Lengths or more from the year of their creation till 2020

SILVER AGE Criteria
Time Period from 2000 to 2010
Bands must have 3 Full-Lengths or more from the year of their creation till 2020

BRONZE AGE Criteria
Time Period from 2011 to 2020
Bands must have 2 Full-Lengths or more from the year of their creation till 2020
Also bands that created from 2018 and after must have 1 Full-Length ore more

Collecting all this information from all the bands of HBM wasnt something easy as we had to check them all one by one. We did a terrible mistake though by forgetting KAWIR (Year Of Creation 1993) from the Golden Age Era. Anyway In Future there will be tribute videos for many bands including KAWIR. Also we would like to say a big thank to our Greek friend Giannis P. for helping us with this!
