🇸🇪 - this is great, and to people who are complaining just remember that the level of production at melfest is much more advanced than eurovision, all swedish performances will be downgrades

🇷🇸 - basically an amped up nf performance but it’s SO great and perfected

🇲🇩 - MOLDOVA KNOWS HOW TO STAGE 👏 this is gonna be amazing on screen

🇳🇴 - this is really great! Same concept as the nf but it’s good

🇵🇹 - i miss the couch :( but mimicat’s energy makes up for it love this

🇱🇻 - such a beautiful performance but I can’t place it higher but I still LOVEE

🇲🇹 - this was so fun! Love the concept

🇨🇭 - disappointed by this actually, I really love this song but idk how I feel about this performance yet

🇭🇷 - where’s the tractor? 😔 exact same as the nf but I wasn’t a fan so

🇮🇪 - yeah nah this seems so cringe and generic

1. Serbia (a better version of my favorite staging from the national finals)
2. Sweden (they managed to bring a version of the LED screen to Liverpool)
3. Portugal (a better version of the staging from the National Final that I already liked)
4. Norway (they kept it pretty much the same and I liked the national final staging)
5. Switzerland (this looks and works way better after seeing this then what I thought it would end up looking like)
6. Moldova (I don't like this staging and I didn't like it at the National Final; I don't hate it)
7. Croatia (the staging is the best aspect of the performance and they are upping it; I don't like the staging)
8. Malta (from the preview I don't see it standing out enough to qualify)
9. Ireland (this reminds of France's staging last year but with a band)
10. Latvia (Germany did it way better and in a way more interesting way in 2015; the band members who are not singing don't look as silly I thought they would)

Rehearsal Top (day1) - Based just on the rehearsal clips and not on the actual song

1st: 🇲🇩 (10/10) - Great idea, Great execution

2nd: 🇱🇻 (10/10) - Love the lights matching the beat! Amazing. Must qualify!!

3rd: 🇸🇪 (10/10) - Flawless! Winner worthy! So glad they were able to do it

4th: 🇨🇭 (9/10) - Imagined a different thing but like it! Flawless voice too

5th: 🇷🇸 (9/10) - Serbia slay era is continuing!

6th: 🇵🇹 (8/10) - It's good but it's not amazing. But I trust Mimicat, she'll make it come alive

7th: 🇲🇹 (7/10) - So fun! Could be a shock qualifier

8th: 🇳🇴 (7/10) - It's similar to the MGP staging but could've been improved. Vocals amazing as expected

9th: 🇮🇪 (6/10) - I like the props! And I actually don't dislike the costumes! But seems messy.

10th: 🇭🇷 (4/10) - Similar to Dora....and I found that messy so.... Messy again.

1. 🇲🇩 THEY OUTSOLD, this looks INCREDIBLE and the concept is 10/10 but im scared for them tough, Moldova being in between Israel and Sweden is definantly gonna hurt but keeping my fingers crossed🤞

1st rehearsals (Day 1) my ranking:

1. Sweden🇸🇪 What more can I say about this song that hasn't already been said? This is just amazing, the only problem in my opinion is the fact that the moving wall or whatever that is looks really cheap, really hope they fix this. Still, this is a potential winner

2. Serbia🇷🇸 In my biased era lol, but Luke SLAYED, there is not much changes from the NF but it feels much more atmospheric, and I love the fact that the clam looks like a flower now! Definitely another top 10!!🖤🦞

3. Norway🇳🇴 I I LOVE the new outfit. Was growing off a bit, but now it's definitely growing!! Waiting for 2nd rehearsals, to see her SLAY!

4. Moldova🇲🇩 Pasha Slaying as usual. Definitely one of the best Moldovian entries and top 10 in my opinion, but unfortunately, I doubt so. Anyways, staging is on point, as well as the vocals, definitely a qualifier

5. Portugal🇵🇹 Pretty dissapointed NGL, i mean It's very good but it feels empty and no sofa???😭 But this is definitely still my top 15 (we'll see if it will stay in my top 10) And i'm also soo scared for her, cuz I feel she ain't getting much attention, i really hope she qualifies!!!

6. Latvia🇱🇻 Basically no changes, as expected, so my ranking doesn't really change. But i HOPEE it will qualify, It's my top 10😭

7. Switzerland🇨🇭 What a great surprise!! This can actually qualify! The staging really elevated the song!

8. Croatia🇭🇷 Same as Latvia, basically nothing changed

9. Malta🇲🇹 Ooh I actually love the staging, this was a grower before rehearsals, but it might still be growing, who knows! Let's just wait and see, they might even qualify even if they're at the death spot


10. Ireland🇮🇪 Didn't expect much from it anyways, It's still bad and staging didn't change anything, sorry.

Malta and Moldova left the best impressions on me today. I’m so happy Malta didn’t change much from the national final, I already really liked what they were going for at MESC. The cardboard cutouts are a funny addition.

And Moldova just had some great visuals. I was expecting some cool staging and they didn’t disappoint.

Elsewhere, I found Switzerland’s concept quite interesting but it hasn’t won me over just yet. He sounded great though. I think it will definitely look better on camera.

Rest looked mostly fine to me. I’m glad Sweden didn’t need to change their staging in the end.
