He directed the lowest and highest rated episodes of Breaking Bad.. That is some achievement!

I forgot he directed the Ozymandias episode for Breaking Bad! Not just the best episode of Breaking Bad, but one of the best episodes of TV ever.

Brothers Bloom is one of my absolute favorite movies and it's criminal that more people don't know about it.

Johnson drew ire for calling angry Star Wars fans 'man-babies' and 5 years later they are here in the comment section proving him right lol

Knives Out was the best movie of 2019, Christopher Plummer at 89 delivered a great performance

Brick is the reason I started being a huge fan of this guy fantastic film.

No wonder why Rian Johnson puts Joseph Gordon Levitt and Noah Segan in big or small roles in his movies.
The bond of the guerilla like filmmaking of Brick carved that companionship

Looper is one of the cleanest Sci-fis I've ever seen. Knives Out is the most clean whodunnit. This man is an absolute genius when it comes to screenwriting! Can't wait to see what he comes up with next!

I love how he still stands by TLJ it's a great movie and I really appreciated it regardless of what people say. Also I personally liked the silly humour but I mean I don't take Star wars that seriously hahaha, the fly in breaking bad was also my favourite episode. Great director!

Amazing to me that Rian Johnson directed two of the most divisive pieces of media of the 2010s: The Fly episode and TLJ.

I love them both.

I don't really love every movie he has ever done but listening to him makes me really respect him as a story teller and film maker.

Men directed Knives Out and Ozymandias and still people hate him. We live in a society

"The Brothers Bloom" is right up there with "The Big Lebowski" as one of my favorite hangout pictures. I just adore it.

I will always admire Rian Johnson for having the guts to actually try to make something different about Star Wars, regardless of the amount of people that desperately want to hear a story already being told

I love his statements about The Last Jedi. The relationship young people have with their heroes is such a Star Wars idea. TLJ was a great exploration of that idea and it is a beautiful film.

Director Panos Cosmatos has rightly pointed out that there is a "Tyranny of Perfection" in the film industry. If a film isn't scientifically perfect on every level, toxic fans are so quick to call it a failure and bully the filmmakers who made it, with studio heads only listening to the most toxic critics. I would much rather have a filmmaker make an earnest piece of art that tries to say something rather than a cynical, polished checklist of fan expectations.

Good on you, Rian. Will always be a fan.

I'd like to point out he didn't just direct "Knives Out" He WROTE it. And think it's an airtight who-dunnit. And I think he's a genius.

Y'all can die mad about Star Wars. I'm just gonna enjoy literally everything else this guy does until the end of time. Not a single miss imo.
