How To Budget In Excel (2024) | Budget Template Tutorial

Today I'm showing you how to use my budget template to budget in a spreadsheet format (Excel or Google Sheets).

For Google Sheets: Download the template. Then open a new Google Sheet and go to "File", then "Import" and select the downloaded file. It will then import with all formulas!

Thanks for the information. It would also be helpful to see a video of your methods for tracking daily spending to determine the monthly totals to log in each category. Do you use a daily spreadsheet to track spending as you go?

If you use credit cards as a debit card, will this sheet still work well with that? Also, I’m guessing you update this weekly so when the next week comes around, you know exactly how much money you have left?

How about a simple up and down with no colors...column for expenses column for income and balance between

I notice you don't have a health/wellness budget? For workout, gym classes, kids sport and activities, swimming

Instead of deleting rows and potentially messing up formulas, just “hide” unwanted rows.
