CHEFCHAOUEN - The BLUE CITY of MOROCCO

After an incredible start to our Moroccan journey, we made our way to one of the most picturesque towns in the world - Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue City. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, this place truly feels like something out of a dream. We spent the day wandering through the narrow, winding streets, where every wall, stairway, and doorway is painted in beautiful shades of blue. It’s easy to see why Chefchaouen is considered one of the most Instagrammable places in the world - every corner is a photo opportunity. We explored the old medina, stopped in at local artisan shops, and chatted with some of the kindest locals we’ve met so far. From handwoven blankets to colorful ceramics, the craftsmanship here is incredible. We enjoyed a traditional Moroccan lunch in a rooftop café overlooking the medina, and of course, we couldn’t leave without sipping on some mint tea. Chefchaouen has a slower, more peaceful vibe compared to the bigger cities, and we completely fell in love with it.

Pleased to see The Blue City is thriving. However, it has certainly transformed from "Hidden~Gem" to a "Main~Stream" destination! Stayed there for several days in early November of 2000. No "COKE" umbrellas, merchandise lining alleys/streets, etc... As a documentary Photographer/Filmmaker, Chefchaouen was definitely one of the highlights of my ten days in Morocco. Even so, still seems to have "The Vibe." Your take, as always, was Honest and Joyful.

Go to akchour less than hour away from chefchoun It's a waterfall in a big mountain since it was raining the past weeks the view will be amazing also It's good for hiking to reach top of the waterfall
