Mo Volans shows you how beautifully the Maag EQ2 and EQ4 work together and separately. Bring that magic Air Band to your tracks! Like all Plugin Alliance products, both Maag EQs are available in a fully functional 14-day demo mode so you can try them out on your own productions.

This video demo is completely flawed but I will say this...these EQs are truly different than any eq I own...and I own a lot. I heard a lot about them but never really was sold from the demos like this one until I tried them out for myself. let me put it this way...I could not get the same sound with anything I tried. I got really close and in some ways possibly just as good but there is defiantly something unique that adds that pro-level subs and lush low end too vocals especially. I ended up being both and I am so very glad I did.

Even with the gain boost, you can hear how it adds the high end sparkle or "air" and how it sounds good. It isn't just louder. A level matched comparison is nice, but not totally necessary to hear things.

Needs volume levelling in order to be more subjective in terms of what it's doing to the tone

No mean to be rude, but when you compare the drum track with / without the EQs, the gain changes ; so isnt it a bit weird to say it's "punchier" ? If you want to compare equalized tracks and non-equalized tracks, best thing would be to do it at the exact same volume. Otherwise, people will always prefer the loudest one and there can't be any comparison.

The plugs look great though *o*

This is something that fooled me into buying plugins during the first three years to date of producing/mixing. Level matching is of utmost importance when comparing. Only then would ou know if the plungin is really worth it. Thanks!

Sounds good... I have the EQ4 but haven't tried the EQ2 myself yet.
The music came across nice, but the poor sound of the low bit rate MP3 recording of your voice over was distracting.

I love it when newbs hit the scene with the “level matching” jargon.

Guys, why does he have to adjust the volume? Part of the effect of the plugin is the increase in volume. If the original track were playing at a whisper, I could see your point. But it's loud enough to tell there is a difference, other than just adding overall volume. Of course it's adding volume to those specific ranges he is altering. If you didn't notice the increase in volume, then you would think the plugin isn't doing anything. All increasing the overall volume of the original track would do is push up every frequency (naturally). So isn't that basically what an EQ is for? Decreasing or Increasing the volume of specific frequencies or frequency ranges? So hearing the difference in volume is necessary. It's almost like you guys are saying that every single knob there is secretly a volume knob, and is simply increasing the volume, irrespective of the frequency. If you think every EQ is the same, then just stick with free VST, otherwise, in my opinion this is a brilliant EQ and certainly worth a look.

Just chiming in ... what a disappointing demo. All I'm hearing is 'louder.' How difficult would it be to show a channel level meter with the same output while the tracks are doubled and alternately soloed to hear the eq?

Who hired the foul trolls with silly "names" to go after Maag? or is it Plugin Alliance?
