TLDR: Listen... I agree with Nick's point of view as a parent, but he kinda got mobbed on because of the lack of context with such a short tweet. Could it have been worded better? Probably, but Nick has put quite a few hours into Call of Duty and for them to remove his skin because they think his tweet was hateful seems a bit harsh in my opinion.

As additional experience with this, my brother is gay and my family is totally cool with him and his boyfriend. Like I said, as long as you're not hurting anyone else, you should be free to be yourself.

It's not "a little virtue signally." It is virtue signaling. The cancel mob and all 80 people that were offended by his Tweet don't want an explanation. Nick could have worded it better? Not for them. I think he stated his opinion, straight to the point, a very, very valid point and it was worded perfectly fine.

Dude right!? I swear society has become on a new level of being sensitive when it comes to an individual speaking up about their own opinions and being penalized for it if it's not agreed upon.

Activision is so quick to punish NickMercs yet they ignore slurs expressed by players, barely do anything about cheaters, disregard feedback to make their current game better and so forth. I swear I hope this issue brings the remaining COD players together to send a direct message to Activision that they're in the wrong for doing this to another YT/Twitch streamer. Because God forbid who else is next for not even saying anything offensive.
