This is crazy! They said they couldn’t agree. And I don’t understand how that jury didn’t recognize he murdered his wife. It’s obvious and no one else killed her. He was the only one with motive, of course his kids are going to cover for him just like Chad daybells, and her body was found close to their home. How long did the jury even deliberate for? Just another person getting away with domestic violence and murder. The prosecution really needs to get their ducks in a row before trying this case again so she can get some type of justice. She deserves justice. It’s really a shame that her children are covering for him. No way they didn’t see what was going on in their home with their parents.

No justice for Karen Swift. What a shame. He still has a stalking charge in Alabama for his second wife who divorced him a few years ago. He is a danger to society and I think will kill again!

Tough case to convict that guy but I feel nobody else could have murdered that wife of his but HIM! It’s disgusting he got away with the murder! Just wasn’t enough strong evidence. Bummer! ☹️

He killed his wife and he’s probably going to get away with it unless he’s convicted on the stalking charge and the prosecution can use that conviction.

I think the prosecution’s theory was pretty spot on. It totally fits the evidence. I would’ve voted for 2nd degree if I were a juror. But in reality it could’ve been 1st degree. Manslaughter seems like a compromise but at least he could’ve gotten some time behind bars. Probably just one or two just couldn’t believe he did it or felt Karen deserved it (absolutely insane) and/or they felt bad for his kids. I hope they retry him or he pleads and gets some years behind bars. I do have to say I feel really bad for his kids. They don’t want to believe he would’ve done this to them.

For a long time, women who are seen as cheating on their husbands aren't really seen in a good light. This I think played a role in this verdict. Very sad.
