The red dump truck needs another ride on the Zacklift

After having the previous mechanic open the engine back up to see what went wrong, things didn't exactly go well between them and the owner of the dump truck decided to have me come back and tow it up to the @caterpillarinc dealership for a full rebuild. Unfortunately this means a massive repair bill and a lot of downtime are coming his way. So when people wonder why we charge so much to run these trucks... This is why.

Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! I was never a fan of the Patreon idea until I realized that I can use it to help others instead of myself, so I created the Patreon Project where we can all combine our efforts to make a real difference in people's lives and make the world a better place! For as little as a dollar a month you can join the group of awesome people already on board and be vote to help steer the ship along the way!

Casey, I'd say that you're probably happy that you didn't win the auction bid on that truck after all!

Your videos are just showing what you do all day and for some that is probably mundane. For me, it is entertaining to watch you hook and unhook and the processes you go through. It must be a bit exasperating to you that you have YouTube experts watching everything you do and provide input on how you do everything wrong. But for me, I just watch and enjoy.

The issues and repair cost on the red truck sure make me less concerned about the dead battery in my riding mower .

For more than 30 years of tying down windsurfing boards and kayaks with straps on roof racks and trailers, I wrapped those stupid tails around and around bars and tied them off, which was always a waste of time. When I saw how you use clamps, I thought how effing stupid have I been for over half of my life. Got some harbor freight clamps and now my l smile clamping those tails. Thank you, Casey, for making my life so much better! 🤣

Just so you know, I love your show, I live in Michigan, and watch you all the time. I was watching Steve Lehto 's show on YouTube, and he had on one of your shirts, (" I never said I was good at this ") shirt. I thought that was cool so I thought I would let you know too. Keep up the get work. God Bless you and your family!!!! Pete

Judging by the state of his left front tire, I think your friend's truck needs more than an engine rebuild.

And we call that….”Close ENOUGH”! Keep the videos coming young man! You are the most entertaining towing channel on YouTube! I love your documentation, explanations and thinking out loud! See are good at what you do!

Something similar came up in a comment on video I was watching yesterday, on a completely different subject, that's relevant. It seems like a lot of people are taught *_one_* way to do something that can be done several ways, and then assume that's the *_only_* way to do it. So, when they see someone do it differently, the conclusion they jump to is that it's wrong.

I like how you always explain what you are doing and why YOU do it that way. Also, about the chains on a tongue trailer being crossed, which is the correct way and the reasons you explained why, I have argued with lots of people over that. They couldn't grasp the reality of catching the tongue on the chains.

Great job on helping this guy get his truck moved to the shop! Poor guy! I feel sorry for him facing THAT repair bill. Hope they do a good job and he has NO MORE problems!

What you call dessert, we in So Cal call forest.
Your dessert has plenty of green trees.
Ours has Joshua trees, cactus, creosote bushes, 120°, etc.

When my son was growing up, we did different things together. When we got done, like pouring concrete, re-roofing a house with his uncle, he would say, “Well that’s a job I would not want to do as a career”! I thought that when I realized someone off loaded what ever was in that dump truck, more than likely by hand, one shovel full at a time. If I recall correctly the truck was loaded when you picked it up the first time.

That’s a busy day. Appreciate the wisdom on crossing chains.

The perspective at hook up and the subsequent lift off was stunning to the point of being beautiful…
