This week on the Sunday Special, Ben Shapiro welcomes Dr. Paul Kengor, a distinguished political scientist, author, and expert on communism and Ronald Reagan’s presidential legacy. In today’s episode, we dissect the infiltration of Marxist ideas among American progressives, the ideological crux of a Marxist’s worldview, and whether or not Kamala Harris can be classified as a Marxist herself. We also examine the similarities and differences between the presidencies of Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump, and how American conservatives can lead the way toward a less divisive future. Don’t miss this important conversation with Dr. Paul Kengor, on this episode of the Sunday Special.

This is an absolutely fantastic, honest conversation between two very bright, extremely well informed men with different (but compatible) religious views.

True american Hispanics are pissed about the open borders. I'm one of them. If my mom can come here legally, everyone else can.

I can say from experience that Dr. Kengor is just as interesting in an everyday lecture. Best professor ever!! I think filming this was worth his being a little late to class that day

This all is making me remember stories of the Romanian communist era from older people i knew in life.

As a farmer, regardless of how many crops or live stock you had, most of it was to be taken by the government no matter how productive the year was. With how little the government left the farmer after they took their share, it was very difficult to make ends met. Many risked and tried to hide part of what they produced. If you were caught hiding what was rightfully the government's, you will be in a world of pain,

In the country side where my parents are from, a very isolated village mind you, a man was raising cattle in secret without declaring it to the government. Story goes that a indoctrinated neighbour snitched on him, and before he knew the securitate was at his front gate.
In a civilized society, he would get a fine or something more human.
Not in a communist society.
The men from the government beat him within an inch of his life, confiscated all of his cattle and took him in for questioning (aka more beating).
All because he tried to have more than what the government dictated was allowed.

I can't help laugh bitterly when i hear people in USA wanting this sort of stuff. They really don't know what they are aiming for.

I so missed these Sunday specials. Glad that Ben is doing them on a regular basis again. I've always enjoyed these. Very entertaining and educational.

The largest thing I think this conversation missed was how the media skews how Trump is viewed. If 95% of the things said about you were negative, and none of the good you had done was ever spoken of, of course you too would be disliked.

Out of all the videos I've watched from Ben this is by far one of the more interesting videos to me. It gives an important insight into how modern politics is changing in America.

Thank you for having Dr. Paul Kengor on the show. This is such an important discussion to educate the illiterate US public ( including many academics with PhD degrees ).

What makes a Marxist?

Answer: Low level intelligence combined with pleasurable ignorance (i.e., apathy) and a wounded ego.

You should not insult a Marxist, as Ben likes to do—you will only make them worse. The best thing I know in handling them is trying to teach them the importance of communication and critical thinking skills. You must make them THINK somehow—which is something they have not been taught how to do.

I would go further than Dr Kengor and Marx, "Communism is the abolition of Private - property, thought and action."

Saying Kamela Harris is something is giving her credit that she really knows something about anything.

I'm not sure I agree that Trump is a uniquely hated messenger. The second it looked like DeSantis had a shot in the primaries, we saw the mainstream media machine crank up into "DeSantis is worse than Trump" mode. They will do this with any nominee the republicans put forward.

I'm an atheist and want nothing to do with this 'progression' toward a 'classless', 'stateless' society. It just doesn't exist within our reality and the more we try to bend human nature to some unachievable ideal, the more we will suffer.

Awesome !! Sadly, fear that such a low percentage of Americans have the intellectual interest and listening stamina to engage in such a spot-on, macro, scholarly analysis.... and sadly, they're all already wise enough to be following you, Ben! 😢😢😢😢
